GRANDI-U2 Granular runway de-icer (sodium formate based) GRANDI-U2 is a sodium formate based alternative for de-icing salt. Common salt and other chloride based de-icers are not recommended because the corrosive properties can instantly attack steel, aluminum, magnesium alloys and even stainless steel! GRANDI-U2 is AMS 1431 certified and an excellent product for your winter operations : the product can be applied for a de-icing (preventive) or anti-icing (curative) usage on the surface of runways, taxiways, sidewalks, parking lots, bridges, tunnels, etc. GRANDI-U2 is effective down to -18°C. The advised dosage for preventive use is 25 g/m² up to 50 g/m² for curative use. The product can be dosed manually or with a suitable spreader.
