THE AW09 OFFERS TECHNOLOGIES, CABIN VOLUME AND PERFORMANCE OF A TWIN-ENGINE AT THE COST OF A SINGLE-ENGINE Positioned in the 2.5 metric ton class, the AW09 is the only single-engine product in the last four decades with an all-new design. Engineered using the latest technologies and high-tech materials, the AW09 is setting a new reference in its category, featuring a crashworthy composite structure and fuel tank, IFR-compatible Garmin G3000H avionics suite, gear box innovative designs, low vibration main rotor and low noise signature shrouded tail rotor architecture. The modularity of the cabin makes the most of the flat floor, the largest cabin volume in its class and the unique high ceiling concept. It offers multiple arrangements with up to 8 individual crashworthy passenger seats and unobstructed rear access loading through the clamshell doors for cargo and medical stretchers. Exploiting its flexible cabin, the AW09 is a versatile vertical lift platform suitable for many different missions. The AW09 offers outstanding payload and sling-load capability. The Safran Arriel 2K turbine with 1,000 shp is of particular interest to operators who wish to avail of hot and high altitude performance. The AW09 engine is also extremely efficient in terms of fuel consumption, which combined with its capable crashworthy tank provides a maximum range in excess of 800 km (432 nautical miles) or, alternatively, a maximum endurance exceeding 5 hours.
