Description

DOUBLE PASSENGER SEAT Since the 1940s, Martin-Baker has been the world leader in the design and production of aircraft seating systems that prevent injuries and fatalities caused by accidents. Our seat products are found in all types of commercial and military aircraft. The Double Passenger Seat is designed for fixed wing applications and was originally developed for use in the Nimrod MRA4 aircraft. The double passenger seat is a fixed seat for use by one or two occupants in fixed wing aircraft. It meets FAR 25 requirements modified to reflect increased occupant size and weight range criteria common to newer military type requirements. It has also been subjected to military environmental testing requirements. These two factors make it more robust when compared to competing products. The seat has two main assemblies; the seat bucket assemblies and the main structure. It is designed to fit floor tracks spaced at 24.9” width and can be specified for either fore or aft facing configurations. Each seat is equipped with individual cushions which can be upholstered in leather or fabric, has a fixed leather covered headrest and features a TSO C114 approved 4 point harness. Provision for life vest stowage is made under both seats, and, if necessary, additional equipment such as oxygen mask containers can be mounted in the space between the seats.
