The Avenger is a rugged, lightweight, handheld ultrasonic flaw detector utilized daily in the evaluation of investment castings, in-service inspection, plastics, turbine blades, tanks, tubes, and pipes. With its multi-gate split-screen for A-trace and B-scan, the Avenger provides accurate and reliable measurements for sizing of sub-surface defects in any solid material. On-board analysis tools and reporting capabilities enhance the user experience and deliver high quality inspection data. The Avenger is designed to perform in all types of indoor and outdoor environments. A version of the Avenger designed for the American Welding Society (AWS) is available to meet or exceed the established inspection criteria, allowing for code-compliant inspection with maximum efficiency. This model includes AWS-compliant wedges, shear-wave and straight-beam transducers, cables, a calibration block, and AWS software that automatically calculates a D-value.
