The PAGE PLB-108 reactive load bank is portable and for use in testing 400Hz service points requiring an inductive load profile to simulate aircraft loads. Used with resistive load banks, the resulting yield can be adjusted to a 0.8 power factor lagging which is specified in MIL-STD-704F. The PLB-108 reactive load bank is capable of loading two service points simultaneously to their maximum rating of 90 kVA each and has nine settings up to 108 kVAR. The reactive bank can be configured so a single output can be tested at 200% of its rated load.
The PAGE Reactive Load Bank incorporates digital displays. The multi-function meters monitor multiple parameters including individual phase current and voltage (line-to-neutral). The instrumentation is kept simple and direct, minimizing the chance of operator error. Instrument accuracy is ±2 percent. Test jacks are provided for use with an optional digital meter to monitor phase voltage E&F selections included for each output. The top of the PLB-108 is designed to support two resistive load banks (Dekal model ALB-100D’s) in a staggered configurations ensuring ample air flow to each.
