OverviewThe Boreas 50 Series is a compact, rugged inertial navigation system with a north-seeking gyrocompass that maintains reliable navigation in GNSS-denied and harsh environments.
Key performance highlightsHorizontal Position Accuracy (GNSS RTK): 0.01 m
Roll & Pitch Accuracy: 0.03 °
Heading Accuracy (Gyrocompass): 0.5 ° × sec(lat)
Variants- A50 provides heading and orientation as an AHRS and INS.
- D50-X20P dual-antenna all-band GNSS receiver.
- D50-MX5 dual-antenna multi-band GNSS receiver with Electronic Protection for resilience against jamming and spoofing.
Features- FOG technology: Boreas 50 uses a fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) with a closed-loop optical coil and advanced spread-spectrum digital modulation to deliver high accuracy, stability and reliability while minimising size, weight and power.
- Gyrocompass north-seeking: determines accurate heading from the Earth’s rotation without GNSS or magnetometer input; works in static and dynamic conditions including high latitudes.
- Rugged reliability: designed and tested to environmental and electromagnetic standards including MIL-STD-461G and MIL-STD-810H; precision aluminium enclosure rated to IP67; resilient to shock and vibration.
- Industry-leading SWaP-C: compact, lightweight design optimised for Size, Weight, Power and Cost.
- Multi-protocol and multi-interface support: supports ANPP, NMEA 0183, CANopen and other industry-standard and proprietary protocols; interfaces include Ethernet, CAN, RS232/RS422, GPIO and 1PPS; built-in responsive embedded web interface for full device access.
- Aiding and logging: supports aiding sensors such as odometer, DVL/USBL, air data, zero-velocity updates and GNSS aiding; internal storage supports up to one year of data logging.
Certifications and environmentalDesigned to MIL-STD-461G and MIL-STD-810H; IP67 waterproof and dustproof enclosure; operational across a wide temperature range for extreme conditions.
