OverviewMB Airport’s MB7BT bi-directional driving tractor is a versatile airport maintenance platform designed for year-round operations. The articulated, bi-directional chassis allows the operator to drive and work in either direction while keeping attachments mounted on both ends. The rotating seat enables quick change of driving orientation without detaching implements.
Highlights- Weight category: 20,000 lbs (approx. 9,072 kg)
- Compliant with local content requirements for FAA AIP funding
- Compact, highly maneuverable for runway and apron operations
- Lightweight footprint to reduce surface wear on pavements
- Lower initial investment and reduced long-term fuel consumption
Your benefits- Bi-directional operation with clear implement visibility from the cab
- Simultaneous attachment capability on both ends for fast role changes
- Wide selection of attachments for winter and summer maintenance
- Hydrostatic drive for smooth power delivery and precise speed control
- Articulated steering for tight-radius maneuvering on airside areas
ConceptThe MB7BT combines visibility, traction and balance in a 200-hp, 4-wheel hydrostatic drive package. Its design focuses on modularity: operators can select and mount a broad range of implements on either end to match seasonal and operational requirements.
TractorThe MB7BT is equipped with bi-directional controls and an articulated frame. It is powered by a CAT C4.4 engine and provides a 3-point hitch lift capacity of 6,500 lbs (2,948 kg) at 24 in (610 mm). The 4-wheel hydrostatic drive system delivers a tractive effort of 14,000 lbs.
Engine and DrivingThe MB7BT offers the following speeds:
- Forward: 28 mph (45 km/h)
- Reverse: 8 mph (12 km/h)
The CAT C4.4 engine delivers 200 hp (150 kW), turbocharged with an air-to-air intercooler, certified to T4 Final (California CARB) and EU Stage V emission standards. Braking includes hydrostatic dynamic braking plus friction dynamic braking at all four wheels and a spring-applied parking/emergency brake. Mechanical PTOs are fitted on both ends, 1,000 RPM, rated at 180 hp, clockwise rotation. Each side features a 3-point CAT III N hitch.
CockpitThe driving cockpit supports bi-directional operation with a 210° rotating seat, adjustable joystick, steering wheel and console. Standard cab equipment includes pressurizer, heater, defroster, high-capacity air conditioning, dual windshields with washers and wipers, and tinted safety glass for the operator work area.
Attachment OptionsA full range of implements is available for winter and summer tasks: front-end loader, snow blower, rotary broom, snow plow, 20' flail mower system and compatibility with multiple hitch-mounted mower brands. These options enable snow removal, landscaping and routine airfield maintenance.
MB’s Mechanical and Technical SupportMB provides field service technicians across the U.S. with 24/7 support and a comprehensive parts inventory to ensure operational uptime.
