As one of the shorter-fuselage versions in Airbus’ single-aisle A320 jetliner family, the A319 offers excellent versatility with its seating options ranging from a 110-seat configuration to 160 seats, with all offering the highest levels of passenger comfort.
Versatile and optimised
The A319 has the same optimised cabin cross-section as the other A320 Family members – the widest single-aisle fuselage on the market that has set the standards for passenger cabins. This allows for top-of-the-range comfort with generous seat width, and an extra-wide aisle for fast turnarounds.
Like all members of the A320 product line that introduced Airbus’ revolutionary fly-by-wire control system to the airline industry, the A319 benefits from cockpit commonality, which helps reduce the cost of training, maintenance, and aircraft operation. Not only are pilots qualified to fly any member of the A320 Family with the Common Type Rating, their ability to transition to other Airbus aircraft is even easier with Cross-Crew-Qualification (CCQ).
Sharklet™ wingtip devices for the A319 and other members of Airbus’ A320 Family are part of a long-term enhancement programme to ensure Airbus’ single-aisle aircraft product line remains highly competitive, efficient, and airport-friendly for years to come.
The impressive 2.4-metre-tall Sharklets provide aerodynamic improvements that bring multiple benefits for operators, including 15% lower fuel burn, reduced emissions, increased range and payload, better take-off performance and rate-of-climb, higher optimum altitude, and reduced engine maintenance costs.
