The IFD545 is Avidyne’s Premium stand-alone, panel-mounted FMS solution. The IFD545 is designed as a slide-in replacement for legacy GNS500 Series Navigators, providing SBAS/LPV capability for a wide range of legacy aircraft. The IFD545 shares the same FMS feature set as the IFD550 (minus the VHF radio), including its integrated Attitude Reference System (ARS) with the added benefit of 3-dimensional “ego-centric/ out-the window” Synthetic Vision views. Thanks to and Dynamic SVS, you can “see” all your flight information laid out in front of you, giving you unprecedented situational awareness. Synthetic Vision shows terrain in 3D with hazard alerting, obstacles, and traffic. Everything you need to see on a bright, easy-to-view 5.7” touchscreen. As with all of our IFDs, the IFD545 includes many great features that make operation much easier including FMS Preview, which lets you easily create, upload and review your flight plans visually with changes shown on the screen before selection. And with our patented GeoFill™, in-flight changes are a snap because the IFD545 predicts your next entry based on your location, not the sequence in the database.
