Overview
The MSSR-1 is a monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar designed for continuous 24/7 aeronautical surveillance. It provides full Mode S functionality and a nominal coverage range of 256 NM. The system features a fully solid-state, modular architecture with full digitalization, fail-safe design and low life-cycle costs. All equipment is maintainable on-site; repairs can be performed without interrupting radar operation. The MSSR-1 complies with EUROCONTROL and ICAO standards. An optional independent four-channel ADS-B receiver system with 360° coverage can be integrated.

Control and monitoring system (CMS-CAM)

• Each equipment/unit fitted with independent BITE diagnostics for performance monitoring
• Automatic system backup changeover at system level
• LCMS located on radar site; RCMS can be located in remote technical room (e.g. control tower)
• Allows authorized personnel to control and adjust radar configuration and parameters remotely
• Incorporates a user-friendly graphical interface for data and status presentation
