Description

The FEC Port-A-Pad offers the strength and safety of a fixed static aluminium marine Grade 6000 helideck whilst being entirely portable. Port-A-Pad has been designed by the same engineering team that has designed over 400 aluminium Roof-top and Offshore helidecks/heliports. The Port-A-Pad can be easily constructed and dismantled by a four-person team, with little or no site preparation required. Supplied with adjustable legs, elevating the Port-A-Pad landing surface up to 1 metre off the ground adds to ground crew safety as it typically raises the aircraft tail-rotor above head height. Port-A-Pad is a highly cost-effective flexible solution with low maintenance and relocation costs. The key feature of the Port-A-Pad is that it has the versatility to provide a Helicopter landing platform into a specific area at a predetermined cost and for a planned time frame and then be relocated later without the loss of the initial investment. The FEC Port-A-Pad significantly reduces Brownout and increases Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention. The force of the aircraft’s rotor wash is borne by the aluminium helideck rather than the ground which is likely to include dust, debris, sand, and other foreign objects. Port-A-Pad is ideal for desert locations and remote terrains. Tried and trusted The Port-A-Pad is in use with the (U.S.A.) Border Control Agency they have a network of 15 used as a network of secure landing sites. Used internationally by private helicopter owners, the logging industry in North America, the Oil and Gas industry in Australia, in Papua New Guinea for remote location work within the gold mining industry and as a remote location landing platform in Chile.
