Aluminum helideck SAFE ALUDECK ®

Following NORSOK Standard C-004 recommendations, we have developed the Safe Aludeck ® system, our aluminum planks that incorporates a passive fire suppression system. The planks surface is strategically perforated so that in case of helicopter crash, the fuel spilt (cause of fire) is immediately drained in to the upper cavity, where the lack of oxygen makes the fire burn out in less than 5 seconds. The fuel is then safely drained away to the perimeter gutter system, and thanks to the properties of aluminum, a cooling effect is produced. Safe Aludeck ® provides optimal rescue conditions, enhancing passengers and crew safety. It is highly recommended for unattended installations, where the firefighting operations are limited. According to CAP 437, in tandem with a DIFFS, only seawater is required to deal with any residual fire. This means a saving in foam and related materials and equipment.
