OverviewThe SPINJET is a coolant-driven high-speed spindle that uses the machine's coolant flow to rotate a HSM jet spindle without an additional energy source. It provides wireless real-time RPM monitoring to optimize machining according to the actual spindle speed at the cutting zone.
Key Performance Highlights- Up to 4-5 times faster machining compared to standard operations
- Available rotational speeds: 20,000; 30,000; 40,000 RPM (dependent on coolant flow and pressure)
- Milling capabilities: steel up to 3.0 mm ap (depth of cut), aluminum up to 6.0 mm ap
Drive & OperationCoolant driven: uses existing machine coolant flow to rotate the spindle; no additional electrical or pneumatic drive required. Designed as a compact "plug & play" tool, easy to connect and install in tool magazines and standard toolholding systems.
Mounting & Tool ClampingAvailable mounting/adaptation options and configurations include:
- Modular ER32 shank collet chuck with a special tightening nut, suitable for standard tool holders with an ER32 seat
- Integral options with various adaptations: HSK A63; C5 & C6; BT 30 & 40; CAT 40; DIN69871-40
- Compatible with standard ER11 collets for tool clamping
Wireless Real Time RPM MonitoringProvides live RPM data to allow optimizing cutting conditions (feed, speed, tools) according to the actual rotational speed in the workpiece, improving process stability and part quality.
Applications & Typical Uses- High-speed milling (steel, aluminum)
- Drilling and engraving with micro/miniature tools
- Chamfering, deburring and finishing small features
- Grinding and thread-milling with appropriate tooling
