Overview
The new generation KASTO ProControl is a saw control system developed to simplify, speed up and make band saw operation more efficient for both experienced specialists and new employees. It is presented as the new control generation for KASTOwin band saws and was tested in real production conditions.

Operation and efficiency
Browser-based operation allowing access via PC or tablet. Cutting plans enable bundling of different section lengths of a material for automatic processing. The material library supports one-time creation and reuse to speed up setup and reduce data entry. Orders and master data can be prepared from the office and imported/exported for recurring orders. Clear start conditions provide a transparent overview of all requirements to start the machine.

User adaptation and usability
Simple mode offers a reduced display for safe, quick start-up. Personalised profiles allow language, units, favourite materials and individual dashboards per user role. Inputs are optimised so invalid values are immediately recognisable and valid alternatives shown directly.

Diagnostics, statistics and support
Central dashboard shows running times, downtimes and machine status at a glance. Tool statistics enable transparent overview of downtimes for maintenance and cost control. Error history and step-chain diagnosis support rapid fault diagnosis and clear indication of fault causes. Quick help functions assist in case of malfunctions.

Proven in production
The system was extensively tested in everyday, multi-shift production and demonstrated clarity, quick operability and high reliability under series production conditions.
