Description

The KMPS series pressure scanners are all built around the 16 position KPM-1-16 scanner module. These modules have 16 individual sensors that are read by two 24 bit analog to digital converters. The A/Ds read both the pressure and temperature signal from each pressure chip. All of the signal conditioning and analog to digital conversion is done on the module to reduce noise and increase reliability. The digital data is then sent to a central microprocessor which does the digital correction using coefficients stored on each module. This allows for easy configuration by the user for different tests. When a new module is plugged in to a scanner it automatically reads the data from the on board memory and starts to acquire data with no programming by the user needed. It is possible to have modules of different ranges or pressure types (absolute or gauge) on the same scanner. The microprocessor outputs digital data over either Ethernet or RS-485. All of the KMPS series scanners can operate over an extended temperature range of -65° to 255°F (-55° to 125° C). PRESSURE SCANNER MODULE KPM-1-16 SERIES • High Accuracy Digital Compensation • No Heating or Cooling Needed • Wide Temperature Range • Mates with all KMPS Series Pressure Scanners • Silicon on Silicon Integrated Sensor VIS® • Patented Design
