Description

Overview
The loaded airflow enters the ZSC tangentially at the head, creating a strong swirling flow (vortex sink). Centrifugal forces drive solid or liquid particles outward to the housing wall where they are separated and discharged spirally into a collection container. A return flow in the lower housing rises through the immersion tube with a high circumferential component, forming the cyclone vortex.

Performance
The ZSC series is designed for large-volume flows from 1 450 to 5 500 m³/h. Typical pressure losses range from 1 200 to 2 500 Pa and dust handling is possible up to 100 kg/h depending on particle characteristics. Rugged construction and wear-protective inner linings extend service life and maintain availability.

Notes
  • 1 The characteristic particle size d50 denotes the theoretical particle diameter separated at 50% efficiency.
  • 2 The characteristic particle size d90 denotes the theoretical particle diameter separated at 90% efficiency.
