Overview
The Throna K24 is an air traffic control (ATC) tower chair engineered for continuous 24/7 operations in control-room environments including tower, approach and enroute ATC, emergency dispatch and power plant monitoring. Designed for multi-shift, shared positions, the K24 combines an automotive-derived frame and a heavy-duty M4 multiblock mechanism with extensive ergonomic adjustments so each operator can rapidly set a preferred working position.

Key product details
Seat height, backrest tilt and lumbar support adjust independently. The SLS configuration adds a built-in seat slide for fore/aft depth adjustment. An optional Schukra S4 lumbar upgrade provides both height and depth control instead of the standard depth-only support. Optional 4D armrests, leather armrest covers and an adjustable padded 3D headrest increase operator adaptability. Upholstery is foam-backed to prevent fabric movement and wrinkling under intensive use. The K24 is offered in three configurations and in flame-retardant fabrics (various colours) or black leather to match control-room requirements.

Certifications & performance
The K24 is engineered and tested for continuous use in control-room settings. Certified to BS 5459 Part 2 for 24-hour use, tested to EN 1335 and GS approved by TÜV SÜD. The M4 multiblock mechanism and automotive-derived frame are specified for sustained 24/7 operation. Manufacturer offers a limited frame warranty up to 10 years under normal 24/7 use, subject to terms.
