Designed to meet customer demand, Merlin's latest simulator is the MP525, a two seater simulator on a six axis electric motion system. The large interior gives ample space for a visual, and extensive controls panels.
The MP525 has all the software attributes of the MP521 Engineering Flight Simulator (using the same, proven flight software, Excalibur, a fully non linear transonic real time six degrees of freedom application), and may therefore be linked to 'fly' in the same airspace as an MP521, and MP500-2 UAV Simulation and Development Station, an MP500-1, Simulation Development and Control Station, or Merlin's Air Traffic Control Simulation Station.
It is the perfect medium to show Merlin's new visual system, which provides worldwide geotypical terrain, with generic runways and approach lighting on all airfields on the worldwide terrain. Graphics for the airports of London Gatwick, and Heathrow are upgraded, plus upgraded high definition graphics for a set of aircraft to represent the 'other aircraft' when the systems are linked to flying in the same scene, so that any 'pilot' will be able to see the 'other aircraft' in the scenario if they are in visual range. The 'other' aircraft include a UAV, a Harrier, a B747, ad B737, and a Coastguard Helicopter.
