Fences are used to delimit airport perimeters and their radar systems in order to prevent the accidental or intentional entrance of non-authorized people and animals.
M.M.’s 1R-type fence consists in PROFILES and NET made of fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP). As a result, this solution is LIGHTER than M.M.’s 1G-type made of FRP gratings.
According to ICAO standards “Aerodrome Design Manual, Part 6, 1st ed. 2006”, 1R-type fence is FRANGIBLE and PERMEABLE TO ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES. The fence is supplied as kit, so that posts and net can be installed quickly. There is no need to use of specific lifting equipment that may interfere with the daily take-off and landing activities. Posts and braces can either be embedded in concrete or inserted into the ground. Moreover, it can be fitted with ARM EXTENSION FOR BARBED WIRE.
