The 16 spindle version of the Mollart pellet die drilling machine has been developed for high volume production of dies where thousands of holes can be drilled un-manned. The specially developed Mollart software monitors the drilling functions and in the event of a drill failure will reconfigure the machine to continue drilling without the broken drill. The machine is capable of drilling holes from Ø1.5mm to Ø12mm to a depth of 150mm. Die capacity is between Ø500mm to Ø1,550mm and chip-to chip times can be as low as 3 seconds.
