Lapwingis light weight, transportable complex, which includes two platforms, compact ground control station with backup power cells for both UAV and GCS. The complex of two platforms is transported in a backpack weighting only 13 kg. This complex is reliable solution to front line intelligence gathering but also surveillance of both sea and land terrain. It takes up to 5 minutes to setup and launch the platforms. Swift produced on the base of a flying wing UAV andcan be controlled in both autonomous and semi-autonomous modes. The apparatus mounted onto the UAV allows to receive the information about the state of the aircraft (speed, altitude, coordinates and position, speed and direction of the wind) and control it from the distance up to 15km. The ground complex operation is based on PC-compatible notebook-like computer supplied with the specific module for wireless communication. MS Windows XP is the ground complex operational system.
