Overview
Okuma's OSP-P500 is an intelligent CNC platform combining mechanics, electronics, IT and domain knowledge (M-E-I-K) to support stable production and productivity improvement. The system enables a faithful digital twin of machine control and machining operations and integrates high-speed, high-accuracy control, energy-saving functions and security features to protect connected equipment.

Digital Twin
Faithful reproduction of machines and processes — digital support for shop-floor work. Okuma provides two digital-twin approaches (office PC and CNC) to reduce downtime and improve machine utilization. The simulator is an OSP-P500 option.

Some functions may be provided as special options.

• Spindle and feed-axis anomaly detection and localization (AI in controller).
• Tool/process abnormality detection with automatic tool retreat when thresholds are exceeded.
• No external measuring instruments required for standard operations; simple guided execution on-screen.
• Note: ball-screw diagnosis may require absolute-scale specification.

Eco / Energy Saving
ECO suite plus and Green-Smart Machine functions combine productivity and environmental performance. Power Monitor visualizes CO2 emissions in real time and the next-generation energy-saving system supports both high productivity and lower environmental impact.
