Description

PMET 980 – B50TF193 – Tribaloy® T800 welding wire for gas turbine engine blades. PMET 980 (Tribaloy® T800) is a solid hardfacing wire consisting of cobalt, molybdenum, chromium, and silicon. PMET 980 attains its oxidation, corrosion, and galling resistance from its hard laves phase which is dispersed in a softer solid solution eutectic. Specifications B50TF193 DMR 34.071 Mechanical Properties Tensile strength – less than 70,000 PSI Elongation – Nil Hardness – 52-62 HRC Applications PMET 980 has found acceptance in a number of applications where galling, abrasion, oxidation, and corrosion are a problem. Applications include pump shaft sleeves, computer hard drives, gas turbine blade shrouds and bases.
