Overview
The R&SBBA300 is a compact, modular ultra-wideband solid-state broadband amplifier family designed for high-availability use in test and measurement environments such as EMC testing, product validation, OTA coexistence and RF component testing. The family supports continuous RF sweeps across broad frequency ranges and delivers high linearity, low noise power density and controlled harmonic performance.

Product family description
The R&SBBA300 family includes configurable single-, dual- and multiband amplifier systems. Compact 19" modular plug-in units enable scalable rack installations. Frequency coverage and output power are configurable and extendable; switch options allow combining amplifiers for multi-band systems.

Performance and features
  • Broadband amplification from 380 MHz up to 18 GHz depending on model, with high linearity and noise density down to approximately -110 dBm/Hz
  • Tunable operating point (software option R&SBBA-PK1) to shift between class A and AB for optimization of linearity, pulse fidelity or maximum output power
  • Robust RF design tolerates large mismatches (full RF power up to VSWR 6:1 in many configurations) and provides smart protection and periodic bias adjustment for long-term stability
  • Modern role-based GUI, Ethernet SCPI remote control and optional SNMP for integration into automated test systems
