Scheduled to begin commercial production in early 2022, the Tázlár Solar Park will supply energy to more than 36,000 households. A project of 4D Energetika Kft, the 100 hectare site will have an installed capacity of over 60 MW, and will contribute to achieving Hungary’s renewable energy targets and reduce the country’s dependence on energy imports. To protect the solar park’s 7 km (4.35 miles) perimeter from theft and vandalism, integrator STYX Sicherheitstechnik, a long time Senstar partner, will secure the welded mesh fence with Senstar’s FlexZone fence-mounted intrusion detection sensor. FlexZone detects and locates any attempt to cut, climb or otherwise break through the fence. It accurately locates intrusions even when there are multiple simultaneous intrusions and in the presence of background environmental noise. At Tázlár Solar Park, FlexZone will be integrated with a third-party PTZ video system, so when the fence sensor alarms, PTZ cameras will turn to the location of the disturbance. Senstar has been working with STYX Sicherheitstechnik for over a decade. Specializing in the planning and installation of customized alarm, video surveillance, and access control systems, the Austria-based STYX Sicherheitstechnik also specializes in outdoor security systems for industrial plants, solar parks, and other key sites. The company has used FlexZone for several projects, including at numerous 4D Energetika Kft sites. “FlexZone is simple to install and operate, cost-effective, and most importantly, reliable in detecting and locating intrusion attempts,” said René Steinkellner, CEO of STYX Sicherheitstechnik GmbH.
