OverviewThe Shenling AC385
Fully Electric Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) Unit is a ground support equipment (GSE) solution designed for Code E aircraft and compatible with Codes C and D. It supplies conditioned fresh air to parked aircraft to improve onboard comfort for passengers and crew and to reduce turnaround time.
Key features- Available in inverter (variable-speed) or fixed-speed versions
- Rapid response: reaches maximum cooling in ~30 seconds; cools to 2°C in ~3 minutes
- Energy-efficient operation (COP: 2.2)
- LCD touchscreen controller with integrated IoT platform for remote monitoring and diagnostics
- Wide ambient operating range: -40°C to 60°C
- Spacious internal access for simplified maintenance and troubleshooting
Performance & benefits- Delivers fast maximum cooling to support short turnaround windows (typical parked stopovers 40–60 minutes)
- Cabin temperature typically stabilizes at 18–24°C within ~15 minutes
- Improved energy efficiency versus traditional PCA units (COP 2.2 vs typical 1.9), reducing operating costs
- Reduces APU usage and related emissions by using electric power from ground sources
Design, control & adaptability- Modular refrigeration: 4–6 compressors with multiple refrigerant circuits and dynamic load distribution
- Integrated IoT platform for real-time remote monitoring, software updates, diagnostics and automated running-cost calculations (including aircraft 400Hz power billing)
- Corrosion-resistant design for high humidity and coastal environments
- Multiple physical configurations: bridge-mounted (PBB), floor-standing, mobile and vehicle-mounted units for remote stands
- Supports several power supply options: 380V 50/60Hz, 400V 50/60Hz, 415V 50Hz and 460V 60Hz
Maintenance & serviceability- Generous internal layout for easy on-site inspection and repair
- Over 90% of faults are minor and repairable without extensive disassembly, minimizing downtime
Applications & referencesShenling AC385 PCA units are intended for airport ground support to provide conditioned air to parked aircraft. They have been deployed in reference projects at major international and regional airports and are targeted at airport operators and ground-handling fleets requiring fast cabin conditioning, energy-efficient operation and reliable remote management.
