1200 aluminium low strength tubes suit applications where good ductility is a requirement. 1200 aluminium alloy tubes are a low strength tubing option though its strength is slightly higher than 1050A but has a lower conductivity value. The alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance to chemical and atmospheric attack and has excellent cold-forming properties. The alloy is easily worked and welded. 1200 is classed as a non-heat treatable commercially pure aluminium alloy (also known as a high purity aluminium). Typical applications include heat exchangers, chemical and food processing equipment.
