Description

The Renegade Falcon LS 2 from Renegade Light Sport is truly a beautiful airplane. Clean, smooth lines are the result of the composite construction using extraordinarily strong Kevlar carbon fiber. Due to this advanced construction material, the Falcon LS airframe is light compared to other LSA's in the market, yet it remains incredibly strong supporting loading of +6/-3g. The light weight enables Renegade to consider a wider array of engine choices ? even a more traditionally GA engine option from Lycoming. Lycoming IO-233-LSA on the Falcon LS Renegade Light Sport is proud to have partnered with Lycoming Engines to help bring the new direct-drive IO-233-LSA engine to the market. The IO-233-LSA is a sister of the ubiquitous O-235 (powering the majority of Cessna 150/152′s flying today) sharing most major components. The IO-233-LSA accepts both mogas and avgas (just NO ethanol), adds fuel injection, and includes a triple-redundant, dual-electronic ignition system for increased simplicity and decreased weight. The Falcon LS was the first airframe to fly the new IO-233 on October 6, 2010.
