The new Helicopter Passenger Transportation System was developed for the safe transportation of offshore personnel flying over water in extremely cold climates. The suit design focuses on providing user benefits for any circumstance, from comfort and mobility while transporting to an offshore destination, to advanced thermal protection and a means of breathing in the event of submersion in extremely cold waters. Leveraging Survitec’s vast knowledge of human factors and anthropometrics, each aspect of the suit acts to optimise fit, comfort and survivability. Manufactured from a durable Gore pacific tri-laminate, MVP material, the suit features a fully integrated and concealed single chamber life preserver unit, water tight neoprene hood, neck seal and boots, and an innovative non-intrusive means of storing and accessing an emergency breathing system (EBS).
