OverviewAspen Evolution engine monitoring converts raw engine signals into actionable data to support maintenance planning, trend analysis and operational efficiency. Customizable alarms and historical trending help operators detect degradations early, reduce unscheduled maintenance and optimise dispatch decisions.
Integration & CompatibilityDeveloped in partnership with Electronics International, the system pairs Aspen Evolution MFD1000 MAX or MFD500 MAX displays with the Electronics International EDC-33P engine data converter and approved sensors. Configurations support single-engine installations for 4- or 6-cylinder engines, turbocharged or normally aspirated.
Customizable, Pilot-selectable InformationEngine instruments occupy the upper area of the MFD display while the lower area is configurable to show engine pages, navigation map, terrain, charts, weather, HSI, synthetic vision and remaining fuel. Pilot-selectable pages include integrated timers and fuel pages with precise remaining-fuel calculations.
Features- Operation modes: ROP (Rich of Peak) and LOP (Lean of Peak)
- Fuel computer with estimated fuel remaining based on pilot entry at engine start
- Fuel remaining to next waypoint and waypoint designation
- Endurance to reserve fuel level and range to reserve
- Fuel economy readout (NM/Gal)
- Fuel ring displayed on NavMap (minutes)
- Distance-to-empty adjusted for current wind
- EGT and CHT normalization for trend recognition
- Accurate fuel remaining integrated into MFD MAX timer page; timer expires after preset fuel quantity consumed
- MFD1000 MAX can act as reversionary PFD if primary display fails
Provides Display Of- RPM
- Manifold pressure
- Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
- Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT)
- Fuel quantity
- Oil temperature and pressure
- Volt/amp
- Fuel flow
- TIT gauges
- Carburetor temperature
- Hobbs
- Tach time
InstallationsThe Evolution platform is modular and designed for retrofit and straightforward installation. Displays fit existing 3-inch instrument holes or can be surface- or flush-mounted. Integrated displays support one-, two- or three-display side-by-side configurations for system expansion and upgrades.
ResourcesProduct data sheet and Evolution Flight Display System documentation are available for installation, integration and certification support.
