Description

Overview
The AIR EFC is an Electronic Flap Controller that manages flap position via a Control Unit and an Actuator. The control unit enables selection and storage of desired flap positions while the actuator executes the commanded movement. The system continuously monitors aircraft indicated airspeed (IAS) to inhibit flap operation outside the speed ranges permitted by the aircraft design.

Main features
  • Automated control of flap position with simple user interface.
  • User can store up to four flap positions; the EFC-P automatically moves the flaps to the selected stored position.
  • Front-panel LEDs indicate current flap position or the target position while flaps are moving.
  • Continuous monitoring of indicated airspeed (IAS) to prevent flap operation outside manufacturer-permitted speed ranges.
