Description

Profiled Rollers GRW: double-row angular contact ball bearings. GRW offers profiled rollers and rails in standard an special designs. Profiled rollers are designed in a way that is comparable to double-row angular contact ball bearings; for this reason, they are able to take axial loads in both directions, as well as high radial loads. Usually, the contact surface is shaped like a Gothic arc; the contact surface and the shaft touch each other in 2 points. On request, other contact surface designs are available (e.g. V groove, spherical outer ring, etc.). Inner and outer ring can be made of chrome steel 100Cr6 or the corrosion-resistant chrome steels X65Cr13 or X30CrMoN 15-1. The balls are made of chrome steel 100Cr6, X65Cr13 or ceramic. GRW profiled rollers are equipped with non-contact shields. On request, contact seals (e.g. Teflon, NBR) are available as an alternative. The rollers are lubricated for life. On request, they are also available with FDA-approved or sterilizable lubricants. Bearing rails GRW bearing rails are composite rails with a supporting body of anodised aluminium. Steel bearing shafts are rolled or glued into them. The bearing shafts are hardened and then ground.
