Data link system DL-6000

Overview
The DL-6000 is an IP-based high-data-rate video and telemetry communications link designed for airborne platforms (manned and unmanned) to deliver secure, high-definition video and telemetry to ground C3 centres. Multiple units can be networked to enable distributed payload/platform control and display. The terminal is a software defined radio (SDR) using a system-on-module (SOM) architecture, presented in a single optimized form factor for airborne use (mass, power, volume, heat dissipation and performance).

The challenge
Operational users require a line-of-sight (LOS) data link that guarantees long-range, secure and uninterrupted HD video and reliable telemetry for situational awareness and platform command across airborne, maritime and ground scenarios. Performance and assured reliability over extended ranges are essential for mission-critical operations.

The DL-6000 provides secure HD video and telemetry transmission with networking capability for multiple radios, extended MTBF for operational reliability and optimisations specifically for airborne data-link use.
