The satellite terminal has been developed for outdoor usage to allow fast and user-friendly installation in adverse conditions. The components have been selected and arranged to survive commercial transport without damage. In case one of the electrical components inside the terminal has been damaged, operation is still possible thanks to the redundancy thereof. Thus, the Nomadic Terminal Satcom 1000 can be considered as the backbone of emergency operations. NT-SatCom® 1000 is the ideal solution for rapid response usage on remote sites where immediate broadband internet access is required. The solution offers a cost-effective communications backup along with adequate data transmission features for rich applications. Itis an ideal solution for European Civil Protections and other first responders requiring broadband internet access in the field during disaster relief or for granting remote sites temporary internet access. Compact NT-SatCom® 1000 offers high performance two-way communications with state-of-the-art satellite technology providing up to 50 Mbps downlink and up to 20 Mbps bandwidth for data and video transmission or voice communication. (Depending on the selected SatCom-Provider and Contract) The terminal is also available for operation within other frequencies and in different packaging as a part of the NT-SatCom® product family. Other solutions of the product family are NT-SatCom® 1500, an extended NT-SatCom with enhanced server capabilities and the NT-SatCom® 3500, with a rack mountable high-performance system for long-term missions.
