The material for the cable is available in three main forms : Single-strand (rigid) cable. Multi-strand (flexible) cable (used on pulleys, e.g. flight controls). Reinforced cable (reinforced single-strand construction used in push and pull controls). All these products are available in various compositions (number of wires or strands), and may be plastic coated (PCV or Polyamid). They comply with a number of standards, particularly for aeronautical applications.
