Self-propelled passenger stairs TA-C are designed for comfortable and safe passenger boarding and disembarking. They substitute the stair range SPT. Serviced heights depend on the model: from 2400mm to 4800mm Engine types: diesel or electric engine The manufacturer offers several modifications of the stairs: with an open cabin with a closed cabin with an operator’s workplace on the upper platform: LAS-1 developed a new generation passenger stair range in 2015. The main distinctive feature of the stairs is the location of all control devices and an operator’s workplace on the upper platform. This provides several advantages: Safe approach to and connection with the aircraft: the operator is situated directly on the touching point and keeps track of all zones around. Fewer staff are needed on the apron: an additional operator to operate the approch and connection proccess is not necessary. Careful treatment by the staff: because the operator’s workplace is situated on the upper platform, when driving, the operator automatically and reflexively selects a speed and direction in safe mode. The maximum speed is limited to 15 km/h.
