Description

Overview
The LTG TFB drum filter is designed for fine filtration of dust in large-volume air streams. The unit combining drum filter TFB and pre-filter TVM is referred to as TFC and removes coarser particles such as fibers from the primary airflow in addition to dust. Unlike the LTG Compact Drum Filter, the TFB uses a single large fixed filter drum whose length is modularly adjustable. Air flows through the drum from the inside to the outside and is continuously drawn off by suction nozzles that contact the drum surface. Those nozzles perform a rotational movement with a superimposed translational motion to extract the entire filter surface. Separated dust is conveyed to a separator by a conveying fan in the secondary circuit. All functional and drive components are located on the clean-gas side of the housing to improve reliability and operational safety.

Key benefits
  • High filtration efficiency
  • High air permeability
  • Modular design for precise adaptation to specific applications
  • Low-maintenance operation

Advantages and design features
  • Lower moving masses compared with rotating-drum systems
  • Clean filter chamber and suitability for installation in production rooms due to inside-to-outside air routing
  • Drive unit accessible from the clean-air side
  • Regenerative filter concept with continuous cleaning—no pressure fluctuations
  • Cleaning in the low-pressure range
  • Modular drum length for precise matching of total air volume
  • Space-saving design with integrated pre-filter disk
  • No dust deposits between pre-filter and filter drum
  • Energy-saving operation owing to low pressure losses
  • No sealing of rotating parts required between dust and clean-air sides
  • Compact, easy-to-install and serviceable skeleton construction
  • Selection of proven filter media with high dust removal efficiency, low resistance and long service life
  • Low energy demand of extraction fan due to small suction-nozzle air requirement
  • Various pre-filter media available to adjust capture efficiency
  • Filter chamber accessible for inspection during operation, no shutdown required
  • Antistatic version available
