Description

UCAS Fixed Height 1.8m Towable chassis with lightweight aluminium adjustable height steps complete with hand rails, easily manoeuvrable and height adjustable by one person, compliant with European standards and legislation. The engineers, fixed height, maintenance steps have been designed to allow two working heights at 600mm and 1,800mm with working platforms incorporating folding side rails and front platform gate. The “easy to fold flat side rails” incorporating an easy release and safety lock mechanism with gas assisted struts which act as a weight counter balance as the rails swing through 1800 to a parked position. In the parked position the1800mm working platform provides an open side or sides for close and safe access positioning of the steps to the aircraft. Front gates can be opened and positioned at 90 degrees or 180 degrees to the front edge of the 1,800mm working platform providing safe access to step off the platform or a fall prevention barrier. The side edges and the rails as suitably protected preventing any possible damage to aircraft. Stability is provided by the tow bar “parked position” engaging and locking the brake blocks of the front wheels. Rear stability jacks (two) are activated by rotating the activation handle bar with red handle through 90 degrees to engage the rear jack with the ground providing total stability.
