The Ocean amphibious and 'straight' seaplanes will all offer the same step-change load capacity, cruise performance, waterside access, wave-handling and safety advantages in relation to their counterparts, described in New capability. The Ocean seaplanes are configured to additionally reproduce the best qualities of both flying-boats and floatplanes, in terms of practical docking features, access/egress and loading features, and details to maximise operator and user experiences. The Ocean designs are meticulously specified in response to extensive seaplane-user engagements including detailed studies by the most prominent seaplane operating companies. To suit different types of operation, the Oceans will be offered with options for cockpit-actuated wing-fold and different power systems for water thruster options. Zero-emission primary power system options will be offered in all aircraft, subject to Certifications for the new systems.
