TKS de-icing fluid is formulated to prevent or reduce in-flight ice accretion on aircraft equipped with TKS de-icing systems or SLD Guard anti-ice systems. It can also be applied for ground de-icing, acting as a freezing-point depressant and serving both de-icing and anti-icing functions.
Key benefits- Quality control on every batch
- Filtered to 0.5 micron
- Non-flammable
- Manufactured in the EU
How it worksThe TKS "weeping wings" system uses laser-drilled titanium panels on leading edges of wings and tail surfaces. The ethylene glycol-based TKS fluid coats the surface, mixes with ice accretion, depresses the freezing point and allows the mixture to flow off without re-freezing, providing continuous airframe ice protection when used as specified.
Applications- For use in TKS de-icing systems and SLD Guard anti-ice systems (follow the P.O.H. and the TKS system manual)
- Suitable for ground de-icing operations
- Commonly used on Diamond, Cirrus, Beechcraft, Cessna, Piper, Mooney, Kodiak and Hawker aircraft
