The Type II aircraft de-icing fluid is a propylene-glycol-based product formulated for ground de-icing operations. It removes snow, ice and frost from airframe and wing surfaces and provides limited protection against ice reformation during taxi and takeoff; it is not intended to guarantee in-flight ice protection.
