The H160 opened a new chapter in the history of Airbus Helicopters. Joining its rotorcraft product range in a size that is positioned between the Company’s H145 and H175. The entire design is based on one overriding goal: to create added value for customers in terms of performance, economic competitiveness, safety, and comfort.
Certified by EASA in July 2020, the H160 serves operators globally in offshore transportation, emergency medical services, firefighting, search and rescue, law enforcement, and private aviation. The H160's engines deliver an 18% reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous-generation engines in the same class.
Mission ready
The H160 is already in service in many configurations around the globe. From commercial passenger transport, to public services (SAR, law enforcement and firefighting), news gathering and private & business aviation (also known as ACH160 ). Airbus is also developing new configurations for the H160M, the aircraft’s military variant.
Innovation at your service
The H160 is about breakthrough design, providing customers with the highest level of innovation integrating 68 patents across systems.
The aircraft was developed using three prototypes and two test platforms – the dynamic helicopter zero and the system helicopter zero – to ensure the highest level of maturity ahead of service entry.
Customers also will appreciate flying more comfortably with an increase in volume per passenger compared to other medium-twin helicopters, as well as larger windows, creating the brightest cabin in its class.
