The RA-6500 is the fleet retrofit unit in the TERRAIN Series. An analog output lets it replace another manufacturer's altimeter on the existing indicator, and it supports single or dual installations for commercial and military operators.
Keep the indicator, change the box
Aircraft still running legacy analog indicators are brought up to current standard without a panel programme. Existing antennas, indicators and cabling are retained.
Single or dual installation
Where redundancy is required, the RA-6500 supports dual installations on the same interfaces and the same footprint, so a two-unit configuration does not become a second integration exercise.
Built for fleet-scale upgrades
Multi-interface connectivity means one unit covers aircraft with different avionics generations across the same fleet, which keeps the spares pool and the training burden down.
Interference resilience
Customized RF filtering and digital signal processing mitigate C-band interference, guarding against erratic readings, autopilot disengagements and false terrain warnings. Units meet AD 2023-10-02 and AD 2023-11-07.
Approvals your installer can act on
Installation approvals, certificate numbers and installation contacts are published in the FreeFlight Systems STC library, so a shop can scope the job before the aircraft arrives.
