FLIGHT PREPARATION FOR DRONE PILOTS MACH 7 Drone allows drone pilots to easily prepare their flights, by including all flights data in a single software: Flight preparation : date and time, type of flight, flight route with creation of engaged volume, vertical profile for S4 flights, etc. Many charts available : Google, IGN, etc. Display of drone flight areas : regulated or forbidden areas with specifications from management organizations. All aeronautical information : NOTAM, aerodrome charts, weather, AZBA, etc. COORDINATION DRONES / GENERAL AVIATION Drones can move freely in the airspace under 500 ft and out of restricted areas near airfields. But this airspace is not empty and is already used by many aircrafts: ULM, helicopters, planes exercicing for engine failure, military aircrafts, gliders landing, etc. In this area, the “see and avoid” principle doesn’t work between a drone and a plane for example. Drones are too small to be seen and they can be a real collision danger. MACH 7 answer Confronted with this problem, MACH 7 has developed an experimental system informing all aviation users about drones presence, thanks to the software “MACH 7 Drone”. The principle is as follows : drones pilots send their flight notifications on MACH 7 UAV. Connected to the same server, general aviation pilots see on their flight planning system, MACH 7, the presence of geo-referenced drones.
