The Fluorosint® range of enhanced PTFE materials was developed to fill the performance gaps where unfilled as well as low-tech, filled PTFE-based polymers underperform. Each Fluorosint® material was specifically designed to excel in demanding bearing and seal applications. While each of Fluorosint® grade possesses the great chemical resistance and compliance of standard PTFE, each material offers unique properties resulting from our proprietary process in which we chemically link synthetically manufactured mica to virgin PTFE. These enhancements give individual Fluorosint® grades superior performance properties, ranging from outstanding dimensional stability, to improved wear performance, to higher load bearing capabilities. Fluorosint® 135 is a PTFE material formulated to provide the lowest coefficient of friction and deformation for use in demanding seal, bearing, and washer applications. This grade also possesses excellent strength, stiffness, and high-pressure velocity capabilities. Additionally, Fluorosint® 135 PTFE exhibits high mechanical performance at elevated temperatures, making this grade ideal for wear applications where extreme conditions are present.
