OverviewThe Nomad™ twin proprotor VTOL unmanned aerial system (UAS) combines vertical takeoff/hover/landing capability with wing-borne cruise to provide long-endurance, high-payload mission performance. Platform variants may support hybrid-electric propulsion and are optimized for confined, austere and runway-independent operations, including shipboard and urban environments.
Key CapabilitiesThe design features articulated rotors enabling a rotor-blown-wing concept and integrates Sikorsky’s MATRIX™ flight autonomy system with an open architecture for C2 interoperability. Emphasis is on VTOL operations, efficient wing-borne cruise for range and endurance, and configurable payload capacity.
Potential Missions- Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (ISR-T)
- Contested logistics resupply
- Light attack missions
- Search and Rescue (SAR)
- Maritime patrol and shipboard operations
- Persistent communications relay
Size & ScalabilityNomad™ is designed to scale across UAS group categories, with targeted configurations for Group 3 and Group 4 to meet varying speed, range and payload requirements.
Multimedia & DocumentationProduct resources include operational videos demonstrating helicopter- and airplane-mode flight, plus a downloadable Nomad™ sell sheet and technical literature.
