Product OverviewErtalyte™ TX-G2 FG PET-P is a semi-crystalline, food-approved polyethylene terephthalate grade formulated as a non-fluorinated alternative to fluorinated variants. It provides stable mechanical and electrical properties in humid environments due to low moisture absorption, combined with low and consistent coefficient of friction, high stiffness and strength, and marked resistance to wear, chemicals and abrasion.
Material Properties- Manufactured from non-fluorinated chemistries with no intentional addition of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
- High mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness.
- Very good creep resistance.
- Low and constant coefficient of friction.
- Excellent wear and abrasion resistance (comparable to or better than many Nylon grades).
- Very good dimensional stability compared with polyacetal materials.

Applications and ComplianceErtalyte™ TX-G2 FG PET-P is a food-approved grade (compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470 and EU 10/2011 compliant) suitable for components operating under high pressure and velocity or against soft metal and plastic mating surfaces where noise abatement and low wear rate are required. Its low moisture uptake helps maintain stable mechanical and electrical performance in humid conditions.
