OverviewNylatron™ 101/Ertalon™ 66SA is a Polyamide 66 (PA66) material offering higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance than nylon 6. It provides improved creep resistance while impact strength and mechanical damping are reduced. Suitable for machining, including on automatic lathes. Note: natural rods over 150 mm diameter are produced from a modified PA66 resin.
Material Properties- Higher mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness compared with nylon 6
- Good fatigue resistance, sliding performance and machinability
- Reduced impact strength and mechanical damping compared with nylon 6
- Excellent wear resistance for sliding applications
- Good electrical insulating properties
- Resistance to high-energy radiation (gamma and X-rays)
Available GeometriesAvailable ColorsApplication & Testing- Recommended for machining on automatic lathes
- Pre-assessment testing / compliances: food contact - USA FDA 21 CFR § 177.xxxx
