OverviewAir Data Unit 2.0 (ADU2) provides high-fidelity pitot airspeed, barometric altitude and external temperature measurements for airborne platforms. Available in three variants (ADU2-10, ADU2-30, ADU2-100), the ADU2 supports broad speed envelopes and supersedes the legacy Air Data Unit 1.0.
Integration and useWhen integrated with an Advanced Navigation inertial navigation system (INS) such as Certus Evo, the ADU2 supplies precise air data to constrain INS drift, improving navigation resilience and extending duration, range, and position/heading accuracy for unmanned aerial vehicles operating in GNSS‑denied or contested environments.
Features- Accurate air data sensing: Absolute and differential pressure sensors plus an external temperature sensor for precise airspeed, altitude and temperature outputs.
- Thermal stability: Factory calibration ensures measurement stability across the specified temperature range.
- Navigation resilience: Reduces inertial navigation drift when GNSS is degraded or unavailable.
- Rugged compact design: Low size, weight and power (60 × 50 × 29 mm; 120 g) for reliable operation on uncrewed platforms.
Available resourcesDownloadable resources include datasheet, online reference manual, 3D model files, the Air Data Unit Viewer utility and firmware/firmware updates.
NotesAir Data Unit 1.0 is end-of-life; ADU2 is the next-generation replacement. Performance figures assume pairing with an Advanced Navigation Certus Evo INS. Exceeding the specified Differential Proof Pressure (75 kPa) can permanently damage the unit.
