OverviewOmniseal® 30 and 40 rotary lip seals feature a threaded sealing lip that pumps lubricating media away from the sealing interface. These designs are intended for use in lubricating media only and provide sealing performance within specified PV and pressure limits.
Materials & DesignProprietary high-performance polymer compounds are combined with optional metal outer cases and engineered geometries. Material combinations are selected to meet application-specific requirements and manufacturing standards.
Applications- Engine crankcase seals.
- Spindles and similar rotary shaft assemblies.
Standard Specifications (summary)Materials: metal outer case options; proprietary high-performance polymer compounds.
Used in: engine crankcase seals, spindles, rotary shafts in gearboxes and similar equipment.
Temperature: -50 to +200°C (-58 to +392°F).
Pressure: 1 bar (0.1 MPa).
Max speed: 30 m/s.
Dimensions (shaft / bore diameters): shaft 6 - 330 mm (metal cased); bore 16 - 380 mm (metal cased).
Minimum tolerances: shaft ±0.003"; bore ±0.001".
